NOTE: Our registration system is now in wait list mode. There is no fee assigned to players who register on the wait list for a given program. Players will be moved from the wait list to a full registration when there is space available. At that time an email will be sent confirming the transfer and an invoice will be issued for the corresponding program fees.

• Registration in the U6-U18 divisions will remain open until June 30, 2009.  All registrations received after June 30, 2009 are subject to a $35.00 late fee and will be placed on a waiting list for the requested division until we can guarantee that we have space. Players will be taken from the wait list on a first-come first-served basis.

• Registration in all divisions is subject to an upper limit and you are encouraged to register early. If a division is full your registration will be placed on a waiting list for the requested division until we can guarantee that we have space. Players will be taken from the wait list on a first-come first-served  basis.

• For the 2009-2010 season we are once again utilizing 100% online registration. Our online registration system is set up to accept payment by Visa, MasterCard or mail-in cheque. For those without internet access at home or work, the Port Moody Public Library offers free online access.

• When paying by cheque, you must include a copy of your invoice or confirmation email. Make cheque payable to Port Moody Soccer Club and mail to the address at the bottom of this page. A service charge of $15.00 will be charged for all N.S.F. cheques.

• All players will purchase their own uniform as part of the registration fee.

• All new players joining the club for the first time and all returning players in the U13 division must provide Proof of Birth Date to complete their registration. Please mail a copy of either a Birth Certificate, Passport, Citizenship Card or Sworn Affidavit to the address at the bottom of this page. Care Cards are not acceptable.

• All registrations are considered incomplete until the payment and proof of birth date (if required) are received. Any player who is not registered and paid in full by August 1^st, 2009 is not insured and will not be permitted to practice or play.

• Girls born between 1998 and 2005 (U6-U11) may play in either the Girls program or in the Boys  program. The Boys program play games on Saturdays and the Girls program play games on Sundays. Please be sure to select the correct program when registering.

• We encourage all players to play in their correct division based on age. Exceptions to this rule will be very limited and must be applied for and approved by the club executive. (Click here for our Under Age Player Policy) The online registration system will automatically place players in the correct division based on their age. If an exception is approved the player's registration will be transferred manually by the registrar after the approval is received.

• In order to preserve the sanity of our volunteer coordinators and to provide the flexibility to create balanced teams in the U6-U10 divisions we have revised our registration form to allow only a requested neighbourhood - all other previous special request fields have been removed. (Click here for our U6-U10 Program Policy) If there are special circumstances around placement of a player they must be forwarded to the director of the appropriate program.

Financial Assistance:     (top)

While soccer continues to be one of the least expensive organized sports, we do recognize that some families may experience financial hardship. Subject to approval by the club executive, we can provide a discount or waive the fees for certain registrations, however, we do ask that every applicant for financial assistance also apply to an outside source, such as the KidSport Fund, for possible funding.

The KidSport Fund is administered by Sport BC and its mission is to overcome the financial obstacles that prevent some young people from playing sport "So All Kids Can Play". For more information on the KidSport Fund and instructions on now to apply, click on the KidSport logo. Please note that there are local KidSport chapters dedicated to residents of Burnaby and to residents of the Tri-Cities (Port Moody, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam). Residents from other cities in the area may have to apply to the KidSport BC main office in Vancouver. New chapters do form from time to time so please click on the KidSport logo to check for new chapters. If applying for financial assistance, select the pay-by-cheque option when registering. Submit a written request for financial assistance, a copy of your completed KidSport or other application and a copy of your invoice or confirmation email, to the address at the bottom of this page.

Online Registration (Wait List):    (top)

We are using the same provider for our online registration service as last year. All online user accounts set up when players registered last year are still active. Please read whichever section applies:

Registered with Port Moody Soccer Club last season:

The registration process for returning players should be much quicker as the information entered last year will simply have to be verified and not completely re-entered. New siblings can also be added to your account easily.

To take advantage of this time-saving feature, you must enter the online registration system as a Returning User and provide the username and password you set up when you registered for the 2008-2009 season.  The username for your online account will be the email address you supplied when registering. If you do not know your username please email the Registrar and request the username for the players who you would like to register. Please do not register as a new user as this will create duplicate entries in the database. If you have forgotten your password there will be an option to change it from the login page. The system will send an email to the email address used as your username. The password change takes about 5 to 10 minutes to get processed so you may have to log out, close your browser and try again.

Did not register with Port Moody Soccer Club last season:

If you did not register a player with the Port Moody Soccer Club for the 2008-2009 season you must enter the online registration system as a New User. When you are finished registering all players you will be asked to provide an email address which will become your username and a password for your online account.

Please read the instructions below and click on the Register Now! button to access the online registration system.

Registration instructions:

The online registration system involves 9 steps (pages) as outlined below. Required information is indicated by a red asterisk on each web page. Please make sure you complete all fields correctly before clicking on the Continue>> button to advance to the next page. Please ensure you complete all steps up to printing the confirmation. If you have been successful you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not, please email the details to registrar@portmoodysoccer.com right away.

• Login:   Allows access to the system as either a Returning User or a New User. See above for more details.

• Select Player:   For Returning Users allows selection between players already in your account. For New Users or to register a sibling, select the Add a New Player option.

• Player Information:   Enter or verify all required and applicable information. Program options will be based on the information entered.

• Parent/Guardian Information:   Enter and verify all required and applicable information. A valid Email address is required. If you do not have access to an email address you may use info@portmoodysoccer.com and we will mail you information that would normally be emailed.

• Program Selection:   The division will be automatically selected. Boys will only have one option. Girls born between 1998 and 2005 will have two options. As we are past the deadline, the wait list for each program will be shown. Note that there is no charge for joining the waitlist but you must still complete the full registration process - including checkout.

• Placement Requests:   Additional information for team selection. Options will vary depending on the age group and program.

• Cart:   1) Confirm the items currently in your "shopping cart". 2) To add another sibling select Add a New Player from pull-down and click Go to loop back to the Player Information page. 3) When complete click the Checkout button.

• Checkout:   1) New Users must create an online account. 2) Provide or verify billing information. 3) Select payment option. First select the Pay Online or Pay by Cheque option. If paying online select the Credit Card option and enter card details. 4) Read and accept the Refund Policy and Waiver.

• Confirmation:   Please print out a copy of your confirmation for your records and one to include with your payment if paying by cheque.

Verifying account information:

Once you have created an online account and/or registered, you can log back into the system to view the status of your account, make changes or make a payment. Please note that you cannot enter a new registration through this login - use the Register Now! button above.

To access your online account click on the Account Login icon to the left.

Refund Policy:    (top)

If a player voluntarily resigns before the end of the season, a partial refund will be provided. The amount of the refund will depend on when the request is received.

1. All refunds are subject to a $15.00 administration charge to cover the cost of online registration and refund processing.
2. After a uniform has been issued to a player there is an additional $35.00 charge.
3. After October 7th there is an additional $20.00 charge to cover fees paid to BCSA, Districts and Leagues.
4. The remaining amount of the registration fee, will be prorated based on the percentage of the season that is remaining.

A full refund will be provided only if space limitations prevent us from placing a player on a team!
