Alex Coombes was a director at large on the Port Moody Soccer club board and coached one of his two sons. Alex gave countless hours to the betterment of our soccer club through his efforts to coach and contributed his expertise and wisdom to the board of directors. Alex's wit and humor could always be counted on, and he always knew the right words and when to say them. His devotion to his family was always apparent, as was his dedication to our soccer club. His contributions to creating policies and ensuring the club had robust procedures will live on for years. Alex was a good friend to many and will be greatly missed. This bursary is named after him so we might remember him and honour his service to the club.
