The topic of abuse in soccer has been in the news in frequently in the past number of months. The Port Moody Soccer Club (PMSC) takes this very seriously as does our governing body, BC Soccer. A number of actions have taken place over the past couple of months to help determine potential changes to the policies that govern abuse.
PMSC has always had a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to abuse, racism and bullying of any kind and we are encouraged by the actions BC Soccer has taken to support not only our club, but all players, parents and coaches at every level in BC.
BC Soccer now has a tool to report abuse and we encourage all our members to use the tool should the need arise. We will have this link posted on our homepage.

There have been a number of letters that have come from BC Soccer in light of recent events and we have those posted below as well as the rules and bylaws that govern us.
To help further protect our members, PMSC requires all volunteers, coaches and board members to submit to a criminal record check before they are permitted to interact with minors in the club.
We remain committed to creating an environment free from abuse, where the love of the game is encouraged at all ages.
Best regards on behalf of the board,
Matthew Campbell
President
