Players are evaluated throughout the season by team coaches and technical staff during games, team/academy sessions, camps, and other possible competitions. PMSC also organizes evaluation days in addition to in-season, ongoing observation. This allows the technical staff to watch players together in practice and varying roles. Our objective is to find the appropriate team environment to match player likeness and ability which will best support overall development.

General Evaluations Information

At the Port Moody Soccer Club, our staff know the importance of being able to measure the performance of our players and they use professional assessment tools all season long to ensure that they can measure each and every players personal growth. These assessments are completed weekly by our technical staff as well as through assessments provided by our many volunteer coaches. On top of these assessments, the Port Moody Soccer Club also organizes evaluation days each Spring to assess players in a formal setting and to provide opportunities for new members to showcase their skills in a high-paced, organized,  and professional soccer environment. This allows the Technical Directors along with the coaching staff to watch players together in a game-like environment and challenge themselves in varying roles on the field. Our objective is to find the appropriate team environment to match player likeness and ability that will best support the players overall development.
